摘要 | Based on the borehole breakout method, this paper proposes a method for measuring in-situ stress by using a borehole stereo-pair imaging technique. Firstly in theory, the principle of borehole breakout method and borehole stereo-pair imaging are introduced. The formula for calculating the distance from any point on the borehole wall to the central axis is derived, which lays a foundation for calculating the three-dimensional shape of the borehole wall. Secondly in technology, the borehole stereo-pair imaging apparatus with a combined double-cone mirror as the core component is developed. The hardware and software components of the measuring system are introduced. The calculation of the magnitude and direction of the in-situ stress is carried out in combination with specific examples. Finally, the problems that may be encountered in the application of the borehole stereo-pair imaging technique in the borehole breakout method are discussed. The correction formula of the actual distance between any point on the borehole wall and the central axis of the borehole is given. The borehole stereo-pair imaging technique breaks through the limitation that the conventional borehole imaging system can only obtain the two-dimensional borehole wall image and provides a new technical means for the measuring in-situ stress based on borehole breakout method. |
